Itsuki is a 16-year-old Pokémon Coordinator who moved from Lilycove City in Hoenn to Veilstone City in Sinnoh about a year and a half prior. Their older brother caught them a Shuppet when they were twelve, and they've been doing Pokémon Contests ever since, but never bothered to expand their team until arriving in Sinnoh. Having to travel from Veilstone to Hearthome whenever they wanted to do Contests also took them past the Pokémon Day Care in Solaceon Town, however, where they occasionally volunteered to help out and wound up with two Pokémon eggs.

Over time, they've worked on actually filling out the rest of their team, though they much prefer Contests and even breeding over battling any day. Their entire team consists of Pokémon they personally find almost unbearably adorable; Itsuki would swear up and down that there's no such thing as an uncute Pokémon!
